MANAGE TIME WELL

In this year, I am a sophomore. So, I have more college assignment than I was a freshman and also have a more demanding class schedule. I go to campus almost every day and usually leave home early morning and back home almost on evening. I go to campus not only for study but also for teach. Because, at the end of last academic year, I have become an assistant in Basic Management Laboratory. So, if I do not have a class, I usually spend my time in laboratory, include Sunday.

Fatigue has become a regular thing for me. But, sometimes I really feel very tired, therefore I decide to take a nap for relieve my fatigue and procrastinate doing my college assignment. I did not know what's wrong with me. I just planned to sleep for a while but I slept till morning. Therefore, I did not finish my college assignment.

I was blue in the face when I went to the campus next day. I really had a yellow streak. Along the way to the campus, I thought to run away from this problem and decided for ditching, but I did not. I realized that I must take a credit from my faults. In campus, I tried to finish my assignment by cheating, but before I could finish my assignment, the bell was ringing. Out of the blue, my lecturer came to the class. He came earlier than usual. He caught me red-handed. He saw red. But, he did not show his anger at me. He just asked me why I cheat. Long mindlessly, I explained to him the real situation. Although along the road to campus I have arranged some words to whitewash my faults. Yeah, I have planned to tell a white lie. He did not give me a punishment as I have previously imagined. He just asked me to not collect my assignment at that time. He asked me to collect it in the next day. He said that he did not accept any cheating and he was disappointed in me. I have regretted my bad. I apologized to my lecturer and promised to not cheat again

I really learned my lesson. I promised to myself, I would be aware with my campus assignment and manage time well, even though I was very busy, I could not forget my obligations. I applied from the smallest things. At the first time I tried, it was very difficult for me, but I do not want to give up. I keep on trying to change my bad habit to delay something. Now, I can feel the result of my effort. I never get any punishment from my lecturers and I really feel that life so much easier if we can appreciate time.

Let’s refresh our mind bout adjectives..!

Adjectives used to explain nouns and they usually come 'bout two ways. I'm going to explain you one by one. Just take a look at my post below.

Firstly, Adjectives come before nouns.

For example, She is a smart girl. Smart explains girl and girl is a noun. Another example, My mom cooks delicious food.

Secondly, Adjectives come after the verb be.

For example, The girl is smart. Smart explains the girl not explains is. Although it comes after verb be (is). Another example, My favorite food is spicy food.

Pada postingan kali ini saya ingin mencoba me-refresh kembali pikiran kita tentang pelajaran bahasa inggris yang paling mendasar namun sering kali kita lupakan penggunaanya, yaitu tentang artikel a dan an.

Saya sengaja menggunakan dua bahasa agar pembaca lebih mudah memahaminya. Jika terdapat kesalahan pada postingan saya ini, harap dimaklumi, karena saya-pun masih dalam proses belajar.

Articles a and an.

(artikel a dan an)

Article a is used if a word begins with a consonant sound.

(artikel a digunakan apabila sebuah kata dimulai dengan bunyi konsonan)

==> e.g.: a doctor, a sister, a child, a birth

Article an is used if a word begins a vowel sound.

(artikel an digunakan apabila sebuah kata dimulai dengan bunyi vokal)

==> e.g.: an office, an attractive concert, an apple

So, you have to remember not a vowel or consonant letter but a vowel sound which firstly out when you read those words.

Jadi, perlu di ingat yah bukan dari hurufnya yang vokal atau konsonan, melainkan dari bunyi yang keluar pertama kali pada saat membaca kata-kata tersebut.

but be careful with words that begin with the letters H or U

(tapi berhati-hatilah dengan kata-kata yang dimulai dengan huruf H dan U)

==> e.g.:

an hour, an honest person

but

a husband, a home

a university, a unique ring, a uniform

but

an unforgetable moment

Why? because in english not all of letter H can read as a consonant.

Mengapa? karena di dalam bahasa inggris tidak semua huruf H dibaca konsonan.

contohnya:

honest ---> dalam ejaan inggris dibaca anes

home ---> dalam ejaan inggris dibaca hom

university---> dalam ejaan inggris dibaca yuniversiti

unlucky---> dalam ejaan inggris dibaca anlaki

Sudah ingat kembali kan pelajaran masa lalu kita yang satu ini? Mudah-mudahan postingan ini dapat bermanfaat bagi pembaca meskipun mungkin manfaat yang didapat hanya sedikit saja.

MATURITY

On this post, I wanna tell you ‘bout maturity. What do you think ‘bout that? Do you think you’re a mature person? Well, if you’re confused with my questions, I’ll give you some explanations ‘bout maturity. I personally believe that maturity is perseverance and the capability to face unpleasantness without becoming bitter.

Perseverance means keep on trying when you get failures. For example, you want to get best score on math test eagerly. So, you study harder and harder every day, but the result of your test isn’t as good as what you wish. If you give up because of that, it means you don’t have perseverance. On the other hand, if you try and try again to get a better result, it means you have perseverance.

Not getting a best score on your math test is an unpleasant thing, right? If you get an unpleasantness don’t let it controls yourself. As a mature person, you must have a capability to face unpleasantness without becoming bitter. Becoming sad when getting a failure is common thing, but don’t lose your head because of it, just try to get up early. You can’t change your failures, if you just cry and cry every day, right? Come on, bud! Only a child always cries when she/he gets failures, while a mature person will gets up early to change her/his failures.

In conclusion, you are mature if you have perseverance and can face your unpleasantness wisely. Do you have both of these? Who knows? Just yourself knows it. Not me or others.
